Snickers

Sometimes the best desserts are  your child hood favorites! Lately I’ve been brain storming all my favorite child hood sweets and I’ve been obsessed with recreating them in a new and modern ways. So to being this little series of mine I started with my favorite candy bar, Snickers! At my parents house my mom will have candy jars filled with snickers minis  and I usually eat the whole jar by the time I leave. I don’t know why but I love Snickers minis, maybe its because they have more surface area of chocolate than the regular bars. But I am thinking there is legal crack shoved in them that causes me to acquire such a massive addiction.

Mango Tango

I recently bought the most beautiful mangos at Whole Foods a few days ago. I bought them when they were under ripe so that I could eat them later. Unfortunately with my cold, I have not been in the kitchen at all lately. My head and ear is just killing me. But this morning I was able to muster up the ability to get to my juicer. Something that my body definitely needs right now is fresh juice. So I threw in all my beautiful mangos that were now a few days past prime, but perfect for juicing along with the all the berries I had in the fridge. I need all the antioxidants I can get right now! This juice turned out to be so beautiful. Then texture of the mangos gave for a velvety juice. I highly recommend juicing your mangos, you will love it. The texture is also very soothing for my sore throat right now, it sorta sticks to it and coats it in a sort of mango blanket. So if you are in the need for an antioxidant power house juice, give this one a try. Its jam packed with berries yet takes you on a tropical vacation with the mangos!
